Getting Started

So you are getting Married with the man of your dreams....

Congratulations! You are now on your way to the day you have been waiting for your entire life --- your wedding day. Before anything else be sure to take the time to enjoy your engagement, treasure the moment.

The biggest mistake brides make is that they fail to plan properly, As a result the wedding preparation process will be a nightmare and they won't get the wedding of their dreams and worst it will cost more money. Please remember that the planning is probably the most important part of your whole wedding process.

Brainstorm

Sit down with your fiance (just the two of you, no family, friends etc. after all this is your wedding) and try to visualize your dream wedding. Write them down, what kind of a wedding were you dreaming of when you where a teenager? Write down the details of past wedding that you attended, that you would like to incorporate with your own wedding. Also write down your your favorite things like color, music, favorite movies, themes etc.

Learn to Organize

First of all, your wedding is a very special day for you... you want everything to go according to your plan and according to what you want.

Write all your great ideas in a notebook so that you won't loose them later on, you should also keep a binder with all your suppliers contact information, suppliers contracts, supplier receipts, and all the paper works that you need.Everything should be within arms reach so that you won't waste time and effort finding stuff.

You should also organize your ideas with your husband to be.. A certain compromise must be made so that both you and your husband will have the wedding of your dreams.

Scout before you act!!

Very important for the bride to be.. do your homework first. I know the excitement of getting married, Do not go into the trap of paying for a supplier because you thought that it was the best. You should search the internet and ask your family and friends for referral of possible suppliers and have a meeting with them. Important things to consider in a supplier are the Quality of the product, Work Ethics (VERY IMPORTANT), How much are they charging??
